1. The particle size of the powder to be granulated should have a certain proportion. The general material is less than 2/3 of the diameter of the ring die hole.
2. After conditioning, the water content should be controlled at 15%~18%. In the case of uniform moisture content, the molding speed is faster and the density is higher.
3. There should be a magnetic separation device before ball making, so as not to damage the mold and avoid unnecessary losses.
In the middle of the granulation process of the granulator is the pinch point of the pressure roll or the wedge-shaped area of the feed between the pressure roll and the die. Almost other equipment is used to assist the granulation process. There are three pressure points,
1. The action roller on the material extrudes the material into the die.
2. The pellet machine mold itself has a resistance that prevents the material from flowing through the holes in the mold.
3. The pressure exerted by the roller in the formula is combined with the friction pressure generated by itself. This pressure squeezes the material and prevents the material from being ejected along the die surface in front of the roll. When we increase the adjustment value of the variable speed drive or control, and increase the feed volume of the granulator, we usually thicken the volume of material in front of the drum. In other words, more force must be used to push the material into the nip of the rollers than into the press.
In addition, the operator of the pellet machine should produce qualified pellet output according to the change of ambient temperature and humidity, the change of the moisture content and particle size of the powder, the adjustment of ingredients, equipment wear and customer requirements.
